A Pool Design That Blends Water With the Horizon
Some backyards deserve more than a traditional pool. When a property has a beautiful view, unique elevation, or an open landscape, the pool design should highlight that scenery rather than compete with it. Pool Stop designs infinity pools in Rockwall, TX that create a dramatic visual effect where the water appears to extend endlessly into the horizon. Since 2003, our team has helped homeowners across North Texas bring their vision to life with custom pools that elevate both the backyard and the view beyond it. An infinity edge pool transforms the entire outdoor space, creating a calm, elegant centerpiece that feels both modern and timeless.
Infinity pools are designed so the water flows over one or more edges of the pool, creating the illusion that the pool has no boundary. This design allows the water to visually blend with the surrounding landscape. When planning infinity pools in Rockwall, TX, our team carefully considers the elevation of the
property, the surrounding scenery, and how the pool will integrate with the rest of the outdoor living space. From the first design conversation through construction, we focus on thoughtful design, dependable customer service, and high-quality pool building that delivers a backyard unlike any other.
What Makes an Infinity Pool Unique
Infinity pools are known for their sleek appearance and the way they highlight the surrounding view. Instead of a traditional pool edge, the vanishing edge allows water to flow over the side into a hidden basin below.

Yes. An infinity pool need not overlook a big lake or valley to impress. If your property lacks a long distance view, we can use the infinity edge to create a center of attention right in your backyard. For example, we can have the water spill toward a lower patio, sunken fire pit, or landscaped area. During design, we'll look at your yard's size, slope, and surrounding landscape to position the pool so the infinity effect works with the view you actually have.
Yes. An infinity pool has to have a catch basin under it to catch the overflow. We then pump that water back into the main pool, so the basin is an important part of the circulation system. We design the main pool, catch basin, and surrounding deck together from the start. This helps us account for the extra space without taking more of your yard's usable living area than necessary.
Not because the water flows over the edge. The water falls into the catch basin and we pump it back into the pool, so it isn't simply being wasted. An infinity pool can have somewhat higher evaporation because more water is exposed to the sun and wind. You'll still need to replace water lost through evaporation and normal splash-out, but we design the main pool and catch basin to work together as a recirculating system.
Yes. Drainage is an important aspect of the design of an infinity pool, especially in regions with heavy clay soil, which can swell and shrink as moisture levels change. We look at your elevations, existing drainage and how water flows across the yard before we design your pool. Grading, drainage and waterproofing are all important to help us prevent problems around the catch basin, or stress on the surrounding deck, from runoff.
Yes. The infinity edge, sometimes called the weir wall, needs careful engineering and installation. The edge is also designed to work with the catch basin, pumps, filtration, waterproofing and water-level controls as a whole system. Getting the details right from the start helps us deliver consistent water flow, long-term performance.
